Respiratory Summit Organized in Tuzluca Salt Caves in Partnership with Iğdır University
The "Mount Ararat Respiratory Summit-2" meeting was organized by the Turkish Thoracic Society under the coordination of our Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Hakkı Alma and Ağrı İbrahim Çeçen University Rector Prof. Dr. Abdülhalik Karabulut.
Dr. Lecturer Tekin Sancar, Director of Iğdır University Salt Therapy Application and Research Center, made a presentation at the summit on the effects of salt caves on COPD patients..
Sancar also shared the results of the study they conducted on a group of 33 COPD patients in Tuzluca Salt Caves with the medical science community. The study, which was conducted on such a large group of subjects for the first time in Turkey and in the world, revealed that Salt Caves have positive results on COPD patients.
Stating that salt caves could be recommended as a complementary treatment method for COPD patients, Dr. Lecturer Sancar gave the good news that these studies would continue and be expanded.
