A Conference on “Making a Career in Healthcare Management” Was Held at Our University.
A conference titled “Making a Career in Health Management” was held under the moderation of Dr. Tekin Sancar, one of our university’s academicians. Many students as well as academic and administrative staff attended the event, which was held at the 8 September Martyrs Conference Hall. Atılım University Faculty Member Prof. Dr. Dilaver Tengilimoğlu attended the conference as a speaker. Tengilimoğlu, who came together with the students with his presentation titled “Making a Career in Health Management,” began his speech by thanking the department directors and the university administration. In his presentation, Prof. Dr. Tengilimoğlu provided information about the definition of health management, the duties of the managers in the Ministry of Health, and the historical development of health management in the world, and also touched on the leading universities in this field. Evaluating the development process of the health management department and the current educational institutions in Turkey, Tengilimoğlu stated that the student quotas exceed the needs. Tengilimoğlu, who conveyed the employment opportunities of graduates in the public and private sectors, drew attention to the importance of accreditation of schools providing education by impartial institutions in terms of quality. Tengilimoğlu, who also emphasized the professional knowledge and skills that future healthcare managers should have in his speech, emphasized that digitalization, use of artificial intelligence, financial literacy, analytical thinking skills and foreign language skills will put graduates ahead of the competition. The program ended with the presentation of plaques and a group photo after the Q&A session.
